June 24, 2012: While I started participating in races about a year ago, this was the first race that was located in my home city. The race was 3.1 miles around a beautiful lake in central Florida. I like running 5Ks, but we had to get up around 5am to get over and register for this bad boy. I always work out after work in the late afternoon, so getting up and running at the butt crack of dawn took a little adjusting. None the less, I felt pretty good during this race. My final time was 28:54 (9:19 pace). I ended up in 329th place out of 691 runners. My wife also did a great job. She finished with a final time of 30:20.

Amazing stuff Adam! Exercise in the morning, for me, always is harder and get less than optimal times. You did yourself proud.
Well done to you and Mrs CFNinja.
Thanks man. I’m used to a nutrition routine that I couldn’t do that early. Temperature is much better in the morning than at mid day though, so it’s worth it.
That’s my son – so very proud of him!
